What is Bybit Web3 (Wallet and Alpha)?

Bybit Web3 was once a broad suite of wallets, a DEX aggregator, NFT markets and IDOs. After a 2025 consolidation, it centres on a self-custodial Seed Phrase Wallet, onchain staking, airdrop campaigns and dApp access, while onchain token trading has moved into the exchange as Bybit Alpha.

In April 2025 Bybit announced it would phase out low-adoption Web3 services. NFT Pro, the inscriptions market and IDOs ended in April 2025; Cloud Wallet, Keyless Wallet, DEX Pro, Swap & Bridge and the NFT Marketplace closed on May 31, 2025.

The surviving Seed Phrase Wallet is a standard self-custodial wallet with a 12 to 24 word recovery phrase, usable in the app or as a browser extension to connect to dApps, stake and join Airdrop Arcade campaigns.

Bybit Alpha lets verified users buy curated Solana tokens directly from their Unified Trading Account without a wallet or gas balance. Tokens bought on Alpha cannot be withdrawn; they can only be sold back into the account.

Alpha requires Standard identity verification, excludes institutional users and restricted regions, enforces per-user holding limits, and gives seven days' notice before a token is delisted.

Good fit for

  • Existing Bybit users wanting simple exposure to onchain tokens
  • Users needing a basic self-custodial wallet tied to a CEX

Not ideal for

  • Memecoin traders who need speed and full token coverage
  • Users who want to avoid KYC
