What is Gains Network (gTrade)?

Gains Network runs gTrade, a decentralized leveraged trading protocol operating since 2021 with over $110 billion in lifetime volume, per its site. It lists about 170 markets across crypto, forex, stocks, indices and commodities, with leverage up to 1000x on forex.

Trades are priced from oracles rather than a central order book and backed by gToken vaults that underwrite trader profit and loss. Crypto goes up to 200x and 500x on degen pairs, forex up to 1000x, and stocks are capped low at around 4x.

The protocol is deployed on Arbitrum, Base, Polygon and MegaETH with collateral such as USDC, WETH, GNS, BtcUSD or USDm depending on chain, plus a separate Solana deployment. A Sepolia demo mode lets you practise with test funds.

Users can connect MetaMask or Rabby and sign each transaction, or log in with email or social for an instant wallet with one-click, gasless trading. A newer REST and WebSocket API supports scoped agent keys and a Hyperliquid-compatible facade.

There is no account or KYC, but US persons are barred by the terms, and stocks and indices are geo-blocked in some regions.

Good fit for

  • Traders wanting forex or commodity leverage on-chain
  • Developers building bots on a documented API

Not ideal for

  • US-based users
  • Beginners who need simple, flat pricing
